Gmail as a stand-alone application

I have for long hoped that Google would make an offline version of its Gmail web application. An example of what it could look like is their java application for cell phones. I recommend you to try it out since it offers the same GUI (graphical user interface) as the web application. It still only works when connected, but it is very convenient to use on your cell phone instead of through a browser. The Dojo Toolkit offers a great way to use web applications offline within your browser, but I think I would prefer them as their own application with an offline and online mode. Dojo is of course still a great project and look forward to test it 🙂
